Naval Children's Charity University Bursary



The Naval Children's Charity offers financial support to young people under the age of 25 from Naval families attending university.

There are three awards of between £250 and £1,000 on offer:

  • Resource Award: For year 1 of study only, to be spent on equipment/resources for your course.
  • Cost of Learning Award: Annual bursary to be spent primarily on helping with the cost of rent/groceries/utilities.
  • Living Away From Home Award: Annual bursary if you are living away from home in student accommodation.


Eligibility

  • Aged 25 or under and the child/dependant of someone who is a serving or veteran member of the Royal Navy, Royal Marines, QARNNS, WRNS, Reserves, or Royal Fleet Auxiliary
  • Household income of less than £70,000 per year
  • Starting or currently studying for an undergraduate first degree (not Master's, PhD, or degree-apprenticeship)
  • The Naval Children's Charity will also consider applications from those with extenuating circumstances outside these financial criteria
